Club OL5Q was established in 1997 by joining OK1KPW and OK1RAK clubs. The intention of this merge was to put together assets, aspiration and people for contests on HF bands. Our fixed location is old water tank tower close to small city of Louny. Locator JO60VI (GPS-WGS84 N50° 20´ 41.29", E13° 47´ 52.34" ±10 cm). Tower is 40 m high and for many years haven't been used for its original purpose. Now we use one room (under roof exactly), where are two shacks. Eurotel GSM technology is on the tower as well, without any inerference problem.

We haven't lots of operators, everyone who is really interesting will be welcome.
Antena system is still being changed, improved and expanded. At present it is inverted Vee for 160 - 80 m bands + temporary bewerage for receiving on 160m band. For 40 m two element deltaloop on NA & JA. For 20 - 10 m bands there are three rotary 4 el. quad 45 m high. Output power for contesting is operated by PA Kenwood TL922 1kw out with modified cooling fan. Transceiver ICOM 746. Logining software we use N1MM and Writelog.
